Background: Ravenswood Coworking Group had been operating for 5 years and was interested in expanding their brand and opening new locations outside of Ravenswood. RCG approached Strassel Creative to complete a comprehensive competitive landscape to explore coworking spaces across the country and throughout Chicago. RCG also hired us for renaming, rebranding, website design and development in an effort to position and launch new coworking spaces under a new brand.

Approach: We created a brand that was engaging, approachable and creative but not too edgy. The word platform is both a reference to the Chicago “El”platform (all Platform Coworking locations are near public transit) and a play on the idea that the coworking space is meant to be an incubator and jumping off point for new ideas. We rounded out the new branding with a bold, uber-friendly responsive website that highlights interior workspaces and has a custom-designed member portal to showcase resident coworkers.

Results: The new name, logo and website highlight the cozy, creative space and give current coworkers pride in their workplace. It’s also been a great tool for management – reducing unwanted calls, allowing members to manage their own profiles and qualifying new members calling to sign up.
